Draconic Subtype[edit]

These are the most quintessential and badass creatures in D&D (depending on who you ask).

Just about all creatures to whom the Draconic subtype can be applied are members of the Magical Beast Type. Creatures like kobolds that trace their lineage back to dragons butonly have semblances of draconic power can also have the subtype, but do not have the racial traits below, which only apply to actual dragons.

Traits[edit]

A draconic creature possesses the following traits (unless otherwise noted in a creature’s entry).

  • Creatures with the Draconic subtype have good Fortitude, Reflex, and Will saves.
  • All draconic creatures have spell resistance equal to 10 + their Challenge Rating. If it gains SR through another source, use whichever value is higher.
  • Draconic creatures are immune to magical sleep effects and paralysis.
  • Draconic creatures are proficient in the use of their natural weapons.
