Uberchargers[edit]

Holy abusable maneuver batman! You know, this could work. It could. But not at level 1. Because you know, uberchargers exist. Even without uberchargers, any melee character worth his salt is gonna full power attack a normal attack (and not miss because it's their ally) and heal for damage that can match or exceed heal before that spell even comes into play. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 04:14, 8 January 2016 (UTC)

Uh, no. You're not actually attacking when you use this maneuver. Well, okay, you are attacking, but you're attacking nothing. You're just doing some fancy stuff with your weapon, and the damage roll is used only to determine how much hp you regain.
And when you're at level 1, your damage roll isn't exactly worth much unless you have something like a greataxe, and even then, it's only worth a damn because you have a big damage die. Most characters have to settle for a d4 or d6. Maybe a d8 if they're lucky. You're sure not getting any impressive bonuses for it. You have your Strength bonus and maybe a feat, and that's pretty much it. It's not until you've gained a few levels that you start to be able to put respectable bonuses on your damage roll. --Luigifan18 (talk) 07:23, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
That is... so weird. Especially since it's touch. Fluffwise, what are you doing? Swinging your greatsword inches from your ally's face to inspire them to stop bleeding?
Ah whatever. Oddly, this is still arguably better than the other one, Solar Strike, because you don't have a failure chance. At minimum though, it's certainly not worth a 3 level difference. Given that I think is underleveled, I would suggest moving this closer to Solar Throw. Maybe 3rd? -- Eiji-kun (talk) 07:43, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
(EDIT: Actually this maneuver is even weirder than Solar Strike. Solar Strike has you hit and enemy and deal damage. Makes sense. This has you hit nothing (why did you even roll for attack?) and... deal damage to nothing which becomes hp.
Unfortunately for you, that can be anything. Enter Power Attack. Why not Power Attack the air for full, stack on all the attack for damage modifiers I can because why not, activate my bonus of intense bonusing, and other things that would otherwise be impractical for attacking an opponent and hit the air, AC cannot miss, for maximum damage, I mean, healing.
Because you're not attacking anything but you're still expected to roll theoretical damage, you can break this wide open. Also, Boost, Strike? You can't be both, and with its standard action use that places it firmly as a strike.) -- Eiji-kun (talk) 09:09, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
