There are so many reasons this is bad, but other people have already mentioned most of them.

It's a big problem that after one gets this spell, next level every body takes warlock and suddently all in the group are same level as pun-pun.

Plus the balance is low? No way in hell as it is without the powerleveling it would still be very high+

Then there is the novel one have to read a couple of times toget a idea about hvad this does and the complexity is such that one would have to read it each time it was used to get alle details right.

Not good game design.

It's Low because it's outclassed. Transmute Water to Acid does its job far better. --Luigifan18 (talk) 13:09, 8 September 2013 (UTC)

It does not matter if it is out classed or not, you put ballance level on anything based on itself.
You can't make a druid class without wildshape and call it low just becaus druid is better! Wildmage Talk 13:49, 8 September 2013 (UTC)
lolwut? That's a single target spell that's 2 or 3 levels lower and is a simple save or die (though I guess that one does ignore acid immunity). While you could argue that ignoring acid immunity outclasses the ridiculous pile of nonsense that this spell bolts on (and I would disagree strongly with you), you're ignoring the difference in level that the effective "Mass" on this spell would generate on its own. Trans Water to Acid doesn't outclass this one by much, if at all, when that's taken into account, and certainly not by enough to justify this spell being 3 balance levels lower than it. - Tarkisflux Talk 14:58, 8 September 2013 (UTC)

Let's see here...
  • A save (potentially multiple times) or die with no easy counter is not a low balance spell, not by a mile. (Edit: a DC 40 heal check, which I missed on first read because this spell is so full of extraneous wording and asides and complicated mechanics, to counter this spell is not a hard level to reach [subject to action cost anyway, which isn't listed] but it's not easy enough to count as a low balance counter)
  • The design of the spell is a mess, with primary saves, secondary saves, and a ridiculous pile of attribute damage.
  • A small subset of characters who survive the spell are also required to take a level in a class they may have no interest in.

That's not just stuff I can't get behind, that's stuff I actively want to protect users from by putting this in a sandbox.

There's so much to address, from the broken mechanics, the overcomplexity, the fact it's a 900 page novel, and the unspeakable warlock bit.

Then I saw it was rated Low.

While its probably an error, I can't be bothered to tell. I've bit off my tongue in rage and am currently in the hospital for a massive increase in blood pleasure and violent tendencies.

So a 1st level warlock gets a buff that allows him to survive the spell. He levels up to 2nd level, becoming immune to the spell. He has a cleric cast this spell on him 17 more times, gaining 198,900 XP. The warlock reaches 20th level.

I get this was your first spell. But INSANELY TL;DR issues aside, this is bad, and you should feel bad.

Powerleveling?!

Are you sure you didn't make this spell so long just so nobody would find the massive broken parts of it?

You can rapidly level up warlocks with this spell? --Foxwarrior (talk) 18:26, 7 September 2013 (UTC)

Actually, only once. Once the caustic level is gained, the XP for caustics clause applies. --Luigifan18 (talk) 22:25, 7 September 2013 (UTC)

XP often causes levelups. --Foxwarrior (talk) 23:19, 7 September 2013 (UTC)

TL;DR?[edit]

You really need to practice at making your spell descriptions... shorter. --Sulacu (talk) 22:16, 7 September 2013 (UTC)

This was one of the very first spells I made, actually. --Luigifan18 (talk) 22:26, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
