A Helpful Glance[edit]

If you could please have a look at my latest creation found here: http://www.dnd-wiki.org/wiki/User:Stryker-Fyre/Sandbox , it would be much appreciated, thankyou.--Stryker 04:08, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

I started implementing some of the changes you suggested but now i'm stuck with two dead levels :(, have a look at what i've got so far if you want although It still doesn't have much in the way of options (still working on that) but I think it's going in the right direction, so again thank you for the input.--Stryker 10:42, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

Custom Monster Types[edit]

Just add |typelink=<type page name, like Variant Outsider (3.5e Type)> to the monster page (see recent Balor (3.5e Monster) changes for an example). No template renaming or other changes required. - Tarkisflux 18:39, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

Revised Creature Size Bonuses[edit]

I finished my rant / suggestion on the stuff we were discussing in chat. Thought I'd drop you a link. Thoughts appreciated. - Tarkisflux 06:53, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

Power Attack/Combat Expertise/Improved Combat Expertise as bonus feats in LD?[edit]

Someone proposed this for ease of Tome integration, and I think it has merit. Basically, Power Attack, Combat Expertise and (if necessary) Improved Combat Expertise become bonus feats on all the creatures in Liber Demonica. I, for one, would be totally for such a change. What do you think? - MisterSinister 00:25, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

Amaranth Eclipse[edit]

I tagged your Amaranth Eclipse. I like to use it, so here I am to bug you. Buggity bug bug bug. -- Eiji-kun 13:26, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

FYI, Amaranth is done. Celebrations! Cheese for everyone! -- Eiji-kun 00:25, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

Chance Variable & DPR[edit]

If one includes 1 in the chance variable, should not one also include 20? --Franken Kesey 20:56, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

Yes. It's already factored in on the talk page. - TG Cid 02:12, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

Tenken: quick questions.... pun possibly intended.[edit]

First off I would like to say your work on the Tenken is great. I've been looking forward to playing one before to long. I also noticed the much more version with the tome then the one you listed on dndwiki.com. Either way great classes. I just had a few simple questions.

1. On BAB chart once they hit level eleven all attacks match the BAB of the second attack. If you wanted it to be like this which of the class abilities grant it?

2. Also on the Reduced Earth ability, does that mean they can attack at will against anyone in threat range as long as they move in a strait line up to their maximum movement or that they can just keep running forever?

3. Heavy Blow just to make sure I understand; a 20th level Tenken has a near unfathomable hatred for goblins. He encounters one on his/her travels. They exchange glances and the goblin charges. In a single flash the goblin disappears in a flash of blood as it took 105 points of damage from adding up the 5BAB (if first question shows typing was as intended) in one single attack. Also is that able to be a critical? Does it apply weapon damage and strength(or dex in Tenken case) to damage? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Omni Genesis (talkcontribs) at

Thanks for the interest; I'll do my best to field all of your questions.
  1. The adjusted BAB is a Tome rule and not due to any particular class feature; since that version of the tenken is made for Tome games, it has that BAB. If you aren't playing Tome games, you can use normal BAB in your game without any real adjustment to the class.
  2. Reduced earth allows them to run or charge in the same way that they move normally (being allowed to make turns and weave through squares), as opposed to being restricted to a straight line. That said, it still takes the actions and restrictions normally required for either running or charging, so even during a charge you are limited to attacking a single opponent unless you have an ability from another source that allows you to do otherwise. They are still limited to their normal limit for movement; it's just increased on account of them being able to run or charge for a really long distance.
  3. Heavy Blow adds not just BAB; it adds the total attack bonus from every iterative attack into a single strike. To use your same example, a 20th level tenken with a full attack bonus of +40 would essentially add all of the secondary attack bonuses from his kenjutsu to the attack. So, the same tenken attacks with a bonus of +40 (for the first attack) and then adds 40 + 40 + 40 + 40 (three bonus kenjutsu attacks and one from the hasting effect) + 35 + 35 + 35 (for his normal iteratives) to his damage on a successful hit for a cumulative damage bonus of 265 damage on top of his initial attack's normal damage (base damage + enhancements + damage modifiers, etc.). That may seem like a high amount initally, but compared to many other level 20 characters' abilities it's not broken by any stretch. That said, I would rule that it could be multiplied on a critical hit, allowing you to deal wicked extra damage (since many creatures are immune to critical hits anyway).
I hope that helps. If you have any other questions, I'd be happy to answer them. As an aside, please sign your posts in the future. -TG Cid 21:52, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
Ok so that makes since for the first 2 rules but you lost me a bit again on the Heavy Blow. How did the 20th level tenken get a +40 full bonus instead of a 20? I get the single strike doing the weapon damage any enhancements, and then attribute mods. I also am getting the whole 40+40+40+40+40+35+35+35= 305 points of awesomeness if they do get the +40 you lost me how they got that extra +20. Keep up the good work. - Omni Genesis 05:12, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
The extra +20 (or whatever it comes out to be) comes from things like weapon enhancement bonus, Dexterity modifier, flanking, Weapon Focus, and so forth; everything that affects the attack roll that isn't a part of BAB. -- Jota 06:50, 2 April 2011 (UTC)

Tomb of Battle II: Temple of Sublime Warfare[edit]

I had a sudden idea (which I will now copy pasta to all the owners of various homebrew disciplines). What if we made a sourcebook, we certainly have enough classes and disciplines to do so. Maybe we can get together on my user page and talk about a unifying theme like the whole Temple of Nine Swords thing. The title, I just made up... Temple of Sublime Warfare, or maybe Battlefield of the Sublime Blade, or whatever. Contact me and give me your thoughts. -- Eiji-kun 08:21, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

Hai Thar[edit]

I solved your dual-casting quandary hurr. --Ghostwheel 08:04, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Ochremancer[edit]

While it's one of your earlier works, I find the charm of the class nonetheless undeniable and thought to play one in an upcoming campaign. After running it by someone at the Order of the Stick forum, who pointed out you left it out of the things you transferred to the new Wiki, I was wondering if you've had any thoughts about it since then. Many thanks for any comments you might have, and I'll be sure to provide feedback from the campaign when we actually start.

While I liked the overall flavor of the Ochremancer, I omitted it from this site because I feel that it fails to meet the demands of versatility in higher level games. While it does have the ooze-like abilities (which are nice) and decent damage abilities through Sludge Bomb, I think it lacks the sheer versatility of the warlock and as a result may not necessarily fit as a base class. If I were to redo it, it may be as a 10 level prestige class that works off of existing warlock abilities. If it were to remain a base class, ooze-themed invocation-like abilities would be useful to make each individual ochremancer distinct from others in a mechanical sense. The former option did not particularly appeal to me and I found it difficult to really come up with sufficient ideas to make the latter happen, so for now I decided to leave it where it was for those who found it satisfactory as written and move on without it for the time being. I would appreciate feedback on how it performs, especially to see if my suspicions concerning its versatility (or leack thereof) are confirmed, and I wish you the best of luck making it work if you decide to use it in your campaign. - TG Cid 21:58, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

Recent Weapons[edit]

They will all be incomplete for a few days to a week, I just split one weapon into 4 parts. Would you like me to add winter cleaning to all 4? --Franken Kesey 19:56, 19 January 2012 (UTC)

Incomplete articles would get the Incomplete template, and need to be completed within a week. - Tarkisflux Talk 20:07, 19 January 2012 (UTC)

Diseases[edit]

I'd recommend something along this--basically, how 4e did it. So yeah, kinda like the Taint rules from HoH. --Ghostwheel 09:38, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

Oh noooo, I have been ninja'ed! - TG Cid 22:11, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

Heart of a Champion is now CommFave[edit]

Hey, I just saw this, and this is crazy, but you're now in CommFave, blurb up, maybe? - MisterSinister 23:49, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

Edit: Also update your shadow magister rating too. - MisterSinister 23:51, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
I don't see how this can be, given that only one person has rated it. Also, Shadow Magister Rating updated. - TG Cid 00:44, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
Bug. Resolved. - Tarkisflux Talk 01:16, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

Ratings Update[edit]

Following the recent wiki vote on ratings granularity and display, all old ratings can be updated to make use of "love / like / neutral / dislike / hate" instead of the old values. If you would like to update your ratings, you can find a list of them at Category:Legacy Rating ThunderGod Cid. When you update a rating, be sure to delete the "|OldRating=True" part. - Tarkisflux Talk 18:01, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

Will you please update your Dream Lord (3.5e Prestige Class) rating? --Franken Kesey (talk) 19:57, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

Powerful Demons You Totally Forgot About[edit]

Orobas and Asag --Foxwarrior (talk) 21:32, 19 October 2013 (UTC)

Given my inability to even finish the demons I had originally planned on making, it seems rather premature to be suggesting more of them. - TG Cid (talk) 23:50, 19 October 2013 (UTC)

Rutterkin[edit]

I cannot understand where the +11 melee as well as the +11 damage with the snap tong come from. Any clarification would be much appreciated.

I think you are on to something and I messed up in the calculation of the damage. The primary difference is from the variant Weapon Focus feat that was used in the Liber Demonica sourcebook in which the rutterkin was published. Using that, the rutterkin gets +2 to the attack bonus of the weapon. Therefore, the rutterkin's attack bonus is as follows: +3 (3 outsider HD) + 5 (Strength bonus) + 2 (Weapon Focus) + 1 (Weapons Master special quality) for a total of +11. Because it only has 3 HD, it doesn't yet qualify for the damage boosting portion of the variant Weapon Focus (basically Weapon specialization, which we didn't consider to be worth its own feat), so the damage is thus +7 due to the Strength bonus. I believe I mistakenly added the +4 from the feat to bring the total to +11, which would explain that number. Thanks a bunch for pointing it out, I just corrected it on the page itself. - TG Cid (talk) 04:04, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

Rutterkin 2.0[edit]

Another quick question.

Shouldn't the damage roll for the snap tong be a d12? So the total damage there should be 1d12+7, shouldn't it?

Yes, quite so. I must have been derping quite hard when I made this creature. I have made the correction, thanks again for your assistance! - TG Cid (talk) 03:22, 10 April 2014 (UTC)

You have received amazing news![edit]

Ha ha, it was a maze spell.

Rating Update/Review Request[edit]

Requesting a review and update your rating of Intelligent Item (3.5e Class), there have been a significant amount of edits since you last looked. Further, would like an update of the Dream Lord (3.5e Prestige Class). Lastly, I know that the Judge of Existence (3.5e Class) could be less complicated, and would like your thoughts on how to make it more streamline. --Franken Kesey (talk) 15:52, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
