Divine Might
A blessing of the gods, or sometimes the result of divine blood within mortal beings, these creatures can call upon the power of their deific background to perform feats of great strength and courage.
Creating a Divine Might Creature
This template can be either acquired (if granted by blessing) or inherent (if descended of a deity). It can apply to any corporeal living creature.
Speed
A divine might creature gains a +10 sacred or profane bonus to all of their movement speeds.
Armor Class
A divine might creature gains a +4 sacred or profane bonus to their AC.
Attack
A creature gains a +2 sacred or profane bonus to attack rolls, and deal an additional 2d6 divine damage on all of their attacks. These bonuses do not apply if the target is good (if sacred bonuses) or evil (if profane bonuses).
Special Attacks
Small Miracle (Ex): Once every two rounds, a divine might creature can do a small miracle as a free action, augmenting their abilities with divine strength. Choose from the table below.
Name | Effect |
---|---|
Armored Spirit | For one round, you gain SR 10 + HD, or add +4 to your existing SR, whichever is better. |
Divine Ablation | You can reduce the damage from a single attack by an amount equal to your character level. |
Divine Inspiration | For 1 round, you can act as if you possess a single fighter bonus feat which you qualify for. |
Divine Refresh | You heal a number of points equal to 10 + your character level. |
Legendary Damage | You gain an additional +1 sacred or profane amount of bonus damage on a single attack per character level. This stacks with other sources from this template. |
Miraculous Survival | You can completely negate the effects of one event or action against you, saved by some unlikely event. However, you become unable to use further small miracles for 24 hours, and you may be affected as normal if you are still exposed to the danger 1 round after this ability is used. |
Strength Surge | Gain your character level as a sacred or profane bonus to Strength checks |
Whispers of the Otherworld | You can make any skill check as if you were trained. You gain a number of virtual ranks equal to your character level for this check, or a +4 sacred or profane bonus to your skill check, whichever is higher. |
Special Qualities
Aura (Su): You emit an aura of alignment as a cleric of your character level.
Damage Reduction (Ex): You gain DR/alignment equal to 5 + half your character level. Choose one alignment (chaos, evil, good, or law) which opposes your own alignment.
Divine Marking (Ex): You gain an invisible symbol of your heritage somewhere on your body, which acts as a holy symbol you cannot lose. You can cause it to glow and present it, allowing you to turn undead or rebuke undead as a cleric of your level. You can also turn outsiders of your opposing alignment, rendering them shaken on a turning result, or frightened for 1 minute on a destroyed result.
Divine Ward (Su): You benefit from the deflection bonus and inability to be touched by summoned creatures of opposing alignment as if you were under the constant effects of Protection from Alignment, with an alignment matching your own. This inability to be touched also extends against undead creatures with a CR equal or less than your own.
Abilities
You gain a +6 sacred or profane bonus to three ability scores of your choice.
Feats
You gain Diehard and Epic Toughness as a bonus feat.
