Like so many other parts of his persona at Academia Magica, Holt’s ability to multitask was legendary. This spell was the end product of his final dissertation at the school, and as a result he became known around the university as “Magic Hands”. A notable and unexpected spike in female enrollment into the school of Evocation occurred after the spell’s invention, suggesting that the nickname was a fitting one.
As its name suggests, this spell grants the subject an additional set of hands (minimum 1) for every six caster levels possessed by the caster. These hands may make slam attacks, dealing bludgeoning damage appropriate for the subject’s size (1d8 for a Medium creature), or wield weapons using the subject’s normal attack bonuses, proficiencies, and reach. The effects of any two-weapon fighting feats possessed by the subject are carried over to use of these hands.
The hands can be dispelled and/or destroyed in the same fashion as any other force effect, although each hand counts as a separate effect for the purposes of being targeted and dispelled.
