Additional Surge Type

This page present additional Surge type for the Pathfinder Wilder. They are meant to be roughly equal in power with the Student Surge.

Explosive Surge

Wild Surge and Psychic Enervation: An explosive wilder possess some of the most chaotic energy within herself, not only at risk of exploding but eager to do so. An explosive wilder has a 25% chance to suffer from psychic enervation, but if she does she increase her manifester level by a half her Wilder Bonus (minimum 1) for the power that resulted in her enervation. When an explosive wilder is overcome by psychic enervation she become dazed for 1 round and loses a number of hit points equal to her normal manifester level (the increase in manifester level from her wild surge does not increase the number of hit point lost). This ability ignore temporary hit points.

Surge Bond The explosive wilder gain the Enervation Explosion feat as a bonus feat.

Improved Surge Bond: After a explosive enervation, the explosive wilder is protected by her shield of her own psychic energy. At 5th level whenever the explosive wilder is overcome by psychic enervation, she gain an amount of temporary hit point equal to the hit point loss she suffered as well as a +1 deflection bonus to AC. These temporary hit point last 1 minute and do not stack with themselves of another source. At 9th level and each 4 levels thereafter, the explosive wilder her deflection bonus to AC increase by +1.

Heightened Surge

Wild Surge and Psychic Enervation: A heightened wilder embrace the heightened state of mind that is produced by free and powerful emotions, their control over their emotion allow them much more disciplined spending of their power and access to some discipline not available to other wilders. However she sometime can push to far and be lost to the moment and letting her psionic energy waste. A heightened wilder overcome by psychic Enervation become Dazed until the start of her next turn and loses a number of power points equal to her normal manifester level (the increase in manifester level from her wild surge does not increase the number of power points lost).

Surge Bond The Wilder select a single Psion Discipline list, she has access to that list when picking Wilder Power Known.

Improved Surge Bond: An heightened wilder is capable of retaining some of the energy she spend, at a higher risk. Beginning at 5th level when she Wild Surge, she may increase the risk of Psychic Enervation by 5% to reduce the cost of manifesting the power by 2 (to a minimum of 0). This ability does not allow you to augment a power more than you would normally be able to augment it, it simply reduce the final consumption of power points. This stack with similar abilities, such as a Torc of Power Preservation.

At 9th level and each four level thereafter, she may reduce the cost of the power by an additional 1 points by increasing the chance of psychic enervation by an additional 5%. This all cumulative to a maximum of 5 power point reduction at 17th level, for an additional 20% chance of psychic enervation.

Racing Surge

Wild Surge and Psychic Enervation: A racing wilder draw upon the power of speed, the feeling of deja vu only found in the most fast-paced of races. A racing wilder gain a +10 bonus to her speed per point of Wild Surge bonus in addition to it normal bonus, however she may only use her Wild Surge if she moved at least 20 feet during the current turn. If a racing wilder is overcome by psychic enervation she become sickened for 1 round, her speed is reduced by half and loses a number of power points equal to her normal manifester level (the increase in manifester level from her wild surge does not increase the number of power points lost).

Surge Bond A racing wilder gain the Run as a bonus and may attempt to regain her psionic focus as part of taking a Run action.

Improved Surge Bond: At 5th level and each 4 levels thereafter, a racing wilder's land speed increase by 10 feet.
