An orb of verdant flame-like [[Aetherion (3.5e Other)|aetherion]] courses from your hand and explodes in a maelstrom of disruption around your foe. The subject takes 1d4 points of typeless damage per [[SRD:Caster Level|caster level]] (maximum 5d4), and incurs 1d4 points of [[SRD:Ability Damage|ability damage]] to all its mental ability scores ([[SRD:Intelligence|Intelligence]], [[SRD:Wisdom|Wisdom]] and [[SRD:Charisma|Charisma]]; [[SRD:Will|Will]] half).

[[Aetherion (3.5e Other)|Aetherion]] deals half again as much damage (including ability damage) to creatures whose body and soul are one and the same, such as [[SRD:Elemental Type|elementals]] and non-[[SRD:Native Subtype|native]] [[SRD:Outsider Type|outsiders]]. Aetherion harmlessly passes through objects and constructs.
