Alchemical Truthseer[edit]

People who've been to a particular divine demiplane tend to lose body parts and learn to clap. These are those people.

Alchemical Truthseers are often recognizable by their lack of some large or important organ or limb(s), although it's hard to tell the difference between loss of limb by failed Human Transmutation and loss of limb by careless cavort through minefield.

Creating a Alchemical Truthseer[edit]

Becoming an Alchemical Truthseer is something anyone can do. You simply have to activate a transmutation circle that includes the Lyf-equivalent Effect Concept, with the intent to bring someone back to life, and forget to pay the requisite cost in living being.

There are two kinds of Alchemical Truthseers: compensated and uncompensated.

Both kinds recieve the following bonus:

Clapping: The Alchemical Truthseer may draw and activate a temporary transmutation circle as a standard action, independent of its number of Concepts. This does not work for the Surprise Trap Shape Concept, as the Alchemical Circle is created in between two touching parts of the Alchemical Truthseer's own body.

Surprise Trap Making: As a standard action, the Alchemical Truthseer may draw a temporary transmutation circle using the Surprise Trap Shape Concept, if he knows it, independent of its number of Concepts. The transmutation circle cannot have a radius greater than 5' × his Alchemist level if created in this way.

Compensated Alchemical Truthseers[edit]

Compensated Alchemical Truthseers have received some sort of particularly good healing or effective prostheses, which counteract all the problems an Alchemical Truthseer would normally have for lacking important body parts.

If an Uncompensated Alchemical Truthseer is cured of their failings (by being reincarnated in a new body, for instance), then they become a Compensated Alchemical Truthseer.
