Many powers in this sourcebook have the summoning keyword. These powers do not follow the same rules as summoning powers from the Player’s Handbook 2. Instead, these powers should be treated as conjurations unless stated otherwise in the power’s description.<br />
This is an abstract way of resolving summoning, and is used with swarms in mind. Most summoning powers in this sourcebook deal with swarms of spiders, and such creatures are more like zones and area attacks than other summons.<br />
