Arcane Archer [Fighter]
Prerequisites: Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, must be able to cast 1st level spells.Benefit: As standard action you may place an area spell upon a projectile and fire it. The imbued spell must have a casting time of a standard action or less, if it any higher you must use the actual spell casting time instead of a standard action. When the projectile is fired, the spell’s area is centered on where the projectile lands, even if the spell could normally be centered only on the caster. This ability allows you to use the ranged weapon’s range rather than the spell’s range. The projectile must be fired within one round the spell is cast, or the spell is wasted.
If you possess the imbue arrow class feature you gain the use this ability as an attack action once per round instead of a standard action. If you possess enhance arrow +1 (or greater) you may trade the enhancement bonus to your enhanced arrow for special ability of the same cost. Your enhanced arrow must still possess a minimum enhancement bonus of 1 and the special ability/enhancement is chosen when the weapon is fired (so a 3rd level Arcane Archer could fire a +2 arrow or a +1 keen arrow). This ability stack with any enhancement on the weapon itself.
Special: A Ranger with the Archery Combat Style may opt to gain this feat as a bonus feat rather than gaining an animal companion at 4th level.
