As paralysis overtook the knight, the armor clamped up and shielded its joints becoming a solid metal mass.
The armor of helpless guard is a set of +1 full plate that protects its user in the their hour of their need. If the user is disabled or dying or the user is immobilized, their AC rises by +4, reduce all incoming damage by 8, and gain 50% Fortification. If the user is actually helpless, their AC rises by +8, reduces all incoming damage by 15, and immunity to critical hits and sneak attacks. In addition they always stabilize while in this armor when dying.
These benefits only occur when immobilized by an effect. Merely not moving is not sufficient.
The armor clamps on even after the user may be dead, and is difficult to remove. A DC 25 Disable Device check is required to remove armor off of a unwilling or dead user.
Prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, mage armorSpC.
