This spell can create one of two effects.

The first is identical to the ''[[SRD:Sanctuary |Sanctuary]]'' spell, except as noted here.

The second is similar, but slightly different. Creatures attempting to attack the target of this version of the spell must make a Will save each time. If they fail the save, the attack automatically misses, meaning their action was wasted in vain, but they are otherwise unhindered from trying again to overcome the ward. 

Either version of the spell is broken if the subject attacks, but they can use nonattack spells or otherwise act.
