The Jedi teach this technique to their younglings in an attempt to have them make more instinctual use of the Force. Even more advanced Jedi often find it useful to use their force-driven reactions to avoid hazards.
This Force power can be used as an immediate action. The user moves 10ft in any direction. This can be over difficult terrain, but if this would reduce their movement to less than 5ft, the movement fails.
