An Ashen Coat is a +1 [[Tattered Leather (3.5e Equipment)|Tattered Leather]] covered in a layer of strange ashes or dust, despite it appearance it is deceptively powerful. The coat provide protection against both cold and hot weather as per [[SRD:Endure Elements|''endure elements'']] as well as resistance to both cold and fire 3. It act as a fire retardant preventing the target from catching on fire, [[Burning (3.5e Condition)|burning]] or similar effect. 

As a swift action the wearer of the coat may move 20 ft instantaneously, leavings 5 ft square of dust and ashes behind which linger for 1 round (same effect as [[SRD:Fog Cloud|''fog cloud'']]). This movement is seemingly instantaneous, thus do not provoke an attack of opportunity but is not teleportation. If you have the [[Dash (3.5e Feat)|Dash]] feat you may use the effect of the coat on the dash movement and increase the dash movement by 20 ft.
