This white jade ring seems to be vibrating constantly and encases the wearer in a shimmering curtain of hazy force. Putting on the ring may be a deafening experience, but the immediate sonic resistance that results from wearing it will result in no damage. Apart from making sneaking and silence impossible, a bellowstone grants its wearer the following benefits:

*[[SRD:Resistance to Energy|Resistance]] to [[SRD:Sonic Effect|sonic]] 30.
*All natural weapons (including [[SRD:Monk#Unarmed Strike|unarmed strikes]]) and all manufactured weapons wielded by the wearer benefit from the ''sonic burst'' quality.
*All enemy creatures attacking or otherwise physically touching the wearer in melee receive 2d6 points of [[SRD:Sonic Effect|sonic]] damage.
*The wearer casts spells with the [[SRD:Sonic Effect|sonic]] descriptor with a +2 [[SRD:Enhancement Bonus|enhancement bonus]] to [[SRD:Caster Level|caster level]]. These two bonus caster levels ignore a spell's damage cap; a level 15 [[SRD:Sorcerer|sorcerer]] casting ''[[SRD:Shout|shout]]'' on a brittle object will deal 17d6 [[SRD:Sonic Effect|sonic]] damage.

When the ring is activated, the wearer of a bellowstone creates disruptive vibrations in a 10-foot area, projecting the effects of ''[[SRD:Sound Burst|sound burst]]'' and ''[[SRD:Shatter|shatter]]'' throughout the entire area every turn. Saving throw DCs as per the spells, based on the highest of the wearer's mental ability scores.
