1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.

Part sword, part lance, the bladelance is a lance which is flattened out to form a broad greatsword. The edge cuts, but isn't very sharp, designed to be cleaved with a heavy axe-like swings. It's length is impressive, and only the strongest can wield it correctly. Users require a Strength of 13 or higher, otherwise you take a -2 penalty on attack rolls and are unable to make attacks of opportunity with the weapon.

A bladelance deals double damage when used from the back of a charging mount. It has reach, so you can strike opponents 10 feet away with it, but you can’t use it against an adjacent foe.

You gain three tactical uses of the bladelance if you are proficient, as follows.

Pike Haul: You can combo attacks together making a swing followed by a stab which repositions your opponent. As an attack action after any slashing attack with the bladelance you made in the round, you can make a stab which lifts your opponent upward and into a new position anywhere within your threatened reach. On a successful hit you make an opposed grapple check. If successful, you can reposition your target into any other square you threaten. This forced movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity, and you nor the target are grappled. You cannot follow up Wide Sweep with Pike Haul.

Short Haft: As a free action on your turn only you can adjust position to strike at adjacent opponents, or back to a reach weapon again.

Stinger: While on foot, you dash forward with great speed and impale your target, launching them a considerable distance. As a full attack action you make a charge attack, dealing damage as if mounted and making a free bull rush attempt which does not provoke attacks of opportunity. If the attack is a critical threat, triple the distance covered by the bull rush. You do not need to follow your opponent on the bull rush.

Wide Sweep: You can combo attacks together making a stab followed by a wide swing. As an attack action after any piercing attack with the bladelance you made in the round, you can make a wide sweeping slash. You attack all creatures in range as if using Whirlwind Attack, even adjacent creatures (or creatures at reach if Short Hafting it). You cannot follow up Pike Haul with Wide Sweep.

While mounted, you can wield a lance with one hand.
