Blazestone

Blazestone
Price: 40,000 gp
Body Slot: Ring
Caster Level: 11th
Aura: Moderate evocation
Activation: Use-activated (continuous)
Weight:

This meteoric iron ring inlaid with a large glowing garnet encases the wearer in powerful flame. Putting on the ring will generally be somewhat painful due to its innate heat, but the immediate fire resistance that results from wearing it will recult in no burn damage. A blazestone grants its wearer the following benefits:

  • Resistance to fire 30.
  • All natural weapons (including unarmed strikes) and all manufactured weapons wielded by the wearer benefit from the flaming burst quality.
  • All enemy creatures attacking or otherwise physically touching the wearer in melee receive 2d6 points of fire damage.
  • The wearer casts spells with the fire descriptor with a +2 enhancement bonus to caster level. These two bonus caster levels ignore a spell's damage cap; a level 10 sorcerer casting fireball will deal 12d6 fire damage.

The wearer of a blazestone leaves a trail of flames wherever it goes. Every 5-foot square the wearer passes through is ignited and burns for 3 rounds. Any creature moving through or starting its turn within the trail of a blazestone takes 4d6 points of damage.

Prerequisites: Forge Ring, fire shield, wall of fire.
Cost to Create: 20,000 gp, 1,200 EXP, 40 days.
