Boardshield Style [Fighter, Style] The knight surfed down to the ogre, jumped off its shield, grabbed it and smashed it across its face.Prerequisites: BAB +4, Balance or Tumble 6 ranks, Shieldsurfing and Improved ShieldsurfingBenefit: You gain the ability to perform the following techniques while shieldsurfing:

  • Board Slam: You may use the stop option as Improved Shieldsurfing describes, striking immediately an enemy in reach with your shield (even a tower shield). This attack deals an extra 1d6 of damage per each 15 feet (4,5 meters) of speed you had (before halving it) in that round, up to 5d6. If your shield is enhanced, or has spikes (or similar additions) that are, you may add those benefits as normal.
  • Surfing Charge: As long as you move at a speed equal to or more than your base land speed you gain a +2 to all your melee attacks. In addition, you may zig-zag or pass near enemies, hitting each one at your highest BAB, without provoking attacks of opportunity against them (but you may provoke them from others).
  • Trampling Shield: You may trample enemies along your path without provoking attacks of opportunity from them, dealing 3d6 of damage + enhancements, if you move at least double your base land speed in a round. To successfully trample them you must make a Balance or Tumble check against their Reflex save. If they succeed they take just half damage and remain standing (otherwise they fall prone and you keep descending), while you reduce your speed by 15 feet (4,5 meters) per each 5 points you failed the roll. For more than 15 points you fall off the shield and provoke an attack of opportunity from the target. You may only trample smaller opponents if you use a light or heavy shield, but you may trample opponents of your size with a greatshield or tower shield.

Special: A fighter may choose this feat as one of its fighter bonus feats.
