Boiling Sphere

Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Area: 5 ft. square
Duration: 1 round + 1 round/level, (D)

Spell Resistance: no

You conjure a hovering, superheated, steaming, boiling sphere of water that occupies a 5 foot square. The sphere deals 1d6 fire damage per round to targets within its space. At the end of its duration, the boiling sphere bursts, dealing 1d6 points of fire damage to all adjacent targets. A Reflex save halves this splash damage.

The steam (or bubbles if underwater) obscure all vision through the sphere's space, rendering a creature entirely occupying the sphere's space as effectively blind. The sphere does not provide cover from ranged attacks, but it may provide concealment.

This spell functions normally underwater and in vacuums. Moving through a boiling sphere counts as difficult terrain.
