As you advance toward the pile of discarded coins , the remains of what was a long dead wyvern, or perhaps a small dragon raise from it resting position.

A bonedrake is the skeletal remain of draconic entities, animated by negative energy and greed. They are the equivalent of powerful humanoid skeletons, using vestige of former abilities such as a breath weapon and flight to torment those who venture in their resting places.

Combat[edit]

A bonedrake is a mindless undead, protecting it 'hoard' much like a humanoid undead protect it former properties. It will use it breath weapon to prevent foes from reaching it and attack foes who get close to it territory relentlessly.

Breath Weapon (Su): A Bonedrake is capable of 'roaring' a breath weapon of baneful wind, all creatures in a 30-ft cone are dealt 3d4 point of unholy damage and are subjected to severe wind. A successful Fortitude (DC 13) save both save against the wind and halves the damage. Once used the Bonedrake must wait 1d4 rounds before using it breath weapon again. The DC is Charisma-based. If the bonedrake is advanced, the damage of it breath weapon increase by 1d4 for each extra CR it gain and the wind increase in severity by one step for each extra size category it is above large.

Flight (Su): A Bonedrake's wing are bony and useless but are enhanced by magic and thus provide it with a supernatural fly speed. The magic is bound to the wing, so any effect which affect wings also affect the bonedrake's fly speed.
