Bonfire's Rest
Transmutation [Fire, Time]

Range: Touch
Target: An unlit bonfire
Duration: Until the bonfire goes out
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No

You reach the top of the hill to see a beacon of hope into an abandoned camp. Rest will soon come.

You cast this spell on an unlit bonfire or another larger source of controlled fire, while kindling it. Everyone in the area of the light receive the following benefits: they need half the time to restore themselves from physical, debilitating conditions (such as fatigue), but not from poisons, diseases and such afflictions; if they sleep within the fire's light they are restored of double the amount of hit points and ability damage they would otherwise regain; they are under the constant effect of endure elements. The effects persist until the fire goes out, usually in the morning, if the bonfire is made at twilight. All sleepers in the area immediately wake up if the fires goes out spontaneously (but not under other conditions).

In addition to these effects, if the spell warmth is cast on the lit fire, it increases its duration to 1 minute/level instead of its normal duration.

Despite not being an healing spell, it counts as if it is for any beneficial purpose.

Bonfire's Rest can be made permanent with a permanency spell. It requires at least caster level 9th and the expenditure of 500 XP. In this case the bonfire never goes out, without the intervention of magic, allowing for a sort of small outpost for the tired. The bonfire can't be moved in any way.
