Good point. I have rephrased the opening sentence so that it is even clearer that the article as it stands is Planescape-specific. Please feel free to add material about the Adventurer's League factions. (By the way, is this an in-universe term, or is it rather aimed at the players?) I would suggest to do this in a separate Canon:Adventurer's League faction article, and refer to that somewhere here. But this is of course only one possibility.
