Codex of Outer Realms[edit]

An anthology of the mechanics and workings of the planes, from the activities of angels, archons and eladrin to the depravities of demons and devils, and what those activities mean. Lets be honest, DnD as a game is designed so that each monster is built almost unilaterally for combat. Demons, angels, etc... all seemed to be designed around killing each other. Not saying that's a problem, since most monster player interaction in DnD boils down to "I hit it with my sword" anyway. this isn't meant to take a well oiled killing machine and replace their weapons with motivational posters, its meant so that there's more to the monsters than a ball of stats, that they have an existence outside of getting murdered by player characters, and an existence that player characters can jump into. They dont even HAVE to go in with the intention of killing their way out!

This supplement for the D&D game presents a deeper description of planar factions, focusing on what effects they have on the greater multi-verse, both within the bounds of adventuring and even pan-cosmic politics.
