This cruel but very basic spell exists only to cause pain; it partially freezes the target's flesh, but not enough to numb the pain.
You touch the target, leaving the area you touched covered in frost and sore. The target takes 1d2 nonlethal cold damage and suffers a −2 penalty to ability checks and skill checks for 3 rounds from the pain. A successful Fortitude save negates the penalty but not the damage.
