Colossus-born[edit]

Extremely resilient and strong, colossus-born creatures are larger and tougher than the average creature of their kind. They are born wit tough flesh and bones harder than steel. It is said that the colossus-born creatures were created by a strange entity who in death cursed a child, the descendant of that child were born larger and stronger and with signs of corruption.

Their appearance is largely that of an average creature of their kind except larger, bulkier and showing some sign of their fell heritage.

Creating a Colossus-born[edit]

Colossus-born is an inherited template that can be any creature of the humanoid, monstrous humanoid or giant type.

Ability Scores: A colossus-born receives a +6 bonus to Strength and Constitution.

Size and Type: A colossus-born's type change to giant (augmented humanoid or monstrous humanoid). Do not recalculate base attack bonus, saves, hit points or skill points. Size is unchanged.

Feat: A colossus-born gain endurance, power attack and strong grip as a bonus feats even if he does not meet the prerequisites. The colossus-born also gain a single vile or deformity feat he meet the prerequisite for.

Special Qualities: A colossus-born receive the following special qualities:

Body of the Colossus (Ex): A colossus-born receive bonus hit point as a construct of his size (one size larger because of powerful build). Additionally a colossus-born is immune to non-lethal damage, stunning and staggering.

Corruption (Ex): Colossus-born creatures show outward sign of corruption, while it can be anything from horn to strange tattoo on their skin. Colossus-born count as evil whenever it would disadvantageous. They may however take vile feats and deformity feat even if they are not evil.

Oversized Grip (Ex): A colossus-born has big hands for extreme weapon holding. It may use two-handed weapons one-handed. Combined with Powerful Build this allows them to wield a Large Greatsword in one hand, or a Huge Greatsword in two hands at a -2 penalty.

Powerful Build (Ex): The physical stature of colossus-born lets them function in many ways as if they were one size category larger. Whenever a colossus-born is subject to a size modifier or special size modifier for an opposed check (such as during grapple checks, bull rush attempts, and trip attempts), the colossus-born is treated as one size larger if doing so is advantageous to him. An colossus-born is also considered to be one size larger when determining whether a creature’s special attacks based on size (such as improved grab or swallow whole) can affect him. A colossus-born can use weapons designed for a creature one size larger without penalty. However, his space and reach remain those of a creature of his actual size. The benefits of this racial trait stack with the effects of powers, abilities, and spells that change the subject’s size category.
