If you cast this spell as a standard action, your cone of butter has a mere range of 5 feet (1 square), splashing the unfortunate target's torso. Hot melted butter deals 1d4+1 nonlethal fire damage, and the sharp pain causes a −2 penalty to all attack rolls, skill checks, and saving throws for 1 minute per level or until the target can get the butter off itself (standard action).

If you cast this spell as a full-round action, your cone of butter has a range of 20 feet. Hot melted butter deals 1d6+1 nonlethal fire damage and the sharp pain causes a −2 penalty to all attack rolls, skill checks, and saving throws for 1 minute per level or until the target can get the butter off itself (full-round action). The spell area is covered in melted butter (count as grease) until cleaned up.

If you cast this spell as a one-round action, your cone of butter has a range of 60 feet, covering any creatures in its area head to toe in buttery pain. Hot melted butter deals 1d8+1 nonlethal fire damage and the sharp pain causes a −2 penalty to all attack rolls, skill checks, and saving throws for 1 minute per level or until the target can get the butter off itself (2 full-round actions). The spell area is covered in melted butter (count as grease) until cleaned up.

Material Component: Three sticks of butter.
