You unleash a russet cone at a metallic object. The air around you smells of hot metal.
This russet cone creates an area of rust, originating at your hand and extending outward in a cone It can effectively destroy any nonmagical iron or iron alloy object. If the item is so large that it cannot fit within the cone a cone shaped radius volume of the metal is rusted and potentially destroyed. Such objects struck by a rust cone take 4d6 points of damage +1 per two caster levels (maximum +10), ignoring hardness. Metal armor affected by this cone takes normal damage from the spell and loses 1d8 points of Armor Class through corrosion. If an item is reduced to 0 hit points, it is destroyed. Ferrous creatures struck by the cone take the same damage as objects. Creatures can make a reflex save to reduce the damage done to their metal items or themselves
Magic items can negate the effect with a successful Fortitude saving throw.
Material Component: Rust particles or a piece of a rust monster.
