At third level the crimson inheritor adds his invocating and spontaneous arcane caster levels together to determine his caster level for each class, for example Maelphor is a 3rd level Sorcerer, 2nd level Warlock and a 3rd-level Crimson Inheritor as such his caster level for both classes is 8. In addition your casting stat for your arcane spellcasting class that advances through levels of Crimson Inheritor becomes charisma, if your casting stat for this class was already charisma you gain no other benefit from this class feature.
