''Dark Spirit Plush has invaded!''

Superficially similar to [[Eijilund Plushie (3.5e Race)|Eijilundian plushies]], the dark spirit plush seems to be an unrelated and hostile invader from an alternate dimension.  It appears as one of the normally fire-themed dolls but composed entirely of a dark red substance which seems more light and shadow than reality.  Its movements are irregular, limbs flowing and extending or retracting and the body rippling as if seen through a distortion, and moving slow and calm at one point before darting from frame to frame out of the corner of the eye.  The only detail able to be made out is its eternal grin which appears bright white and devoid of teeth, as if its a rift into something terrible.

No one knows the true purpose of these stalkers.  They do not speak, and they barely make noise as they hunt.  They seem to take fascination stalking and assassinating particular unlucky souls, summoning themselves into the universe of the creature with a tell-tale sound and a mental ping to its victim in a method which seems identical to ''[[Astral Invader (3.5e Spell)|astral invader]]'', to the point that they believe this is the spell used (or worse, the originators of the spell).  No attempt at counter-invasions are successful.  Most fail outright, and what few seem to make it through never return.

Dark spirit plushies are 2 ft tall (though their size varies dramatically) and float over the ground half the time.  They have no appreciable weight either.  They do not speak but seem to understand Common.

=== Combat ===

The dark spirit plush is an ambush predator, though it doesn't do it for food.  It seems to hunt for pleasure and, if it feels confident enough to do so, it will drag out a battle and sow paranoia and panic before making the final blow.  It uses its mimicry powers and stealth to evade detection long enough for a creature to put down their guard, then it lashes out before running away.

They use weapons formed out of their own substance, and specifically a knife called a Blackrazor.  It is effectively a kukri, and any weapons it creates gain a +2 enhancement bonus inherently.  They also vanish if they leave the dark spirit plush's hands for more than 1 round.  It can create new weapons with the same action as drawing one.

As living constructs, they do not gain bonus hit points by size, but rather through constitution as other living creatures. They do not have low-light vision, and are not immune to mind-influencing effects. They cannot heal damage naturally, and take half benefit from positive energy cure spells. However, they take full benefit from the repair series of spells.
