A small patch of fluffy stems and sunflowers lay on a patch of freshly turned soil. As you approach the stems shake, sending barbs flying!

The dartpuff flowerbed is actually a combination of lesser organisms working in unity. It consists of light-sensitive sunflower-like plants, poisonous barbed dandelion spore flowers, and a mushy base which is actually a type of ooze that enables mobility and transference of nutrients to its flower hosts. They sit and wait until creatures come near, then paralyze them with their deadly poison, slowly crawl over, and absorbs their bodies to provide for the organisms involved.

CombatEdit

Dartpuff flowerbeds are living traps and should be treated as such, effectively poison dart traps. They lack much in defense, but are healthy creatures and can usually stand toe to toe winning victory through attrition while slowly backing away to cover. Some dartpuff flowerbeds hang out close to small spaces it can fit into but opponents cannot in case it needs to retreat.

Absorb (Ex): Creatures hit my its lashing roots take normal damage and take another 1d6 points of desiccation damage, absorbing the water from the body. It deals double damage against unusually watery creatures (such as most oozes) or creatures with the Water subtype, and no damage against creatures with no moisture (such as most constructs and undead). The damage is absorbed as healing for the dartpuff flowerbed.

Dart (Ex): The dartpuff flowerbed can fire darts as an attack action with a range increment of 30 ft.

Immunities (Ex): The dartpuff flowerbed is immune to critical hits, mind-affecting effects, paralysis, poison, polymorph, sleep effects, and stunning. It is also immune to sonic damage.

Poison (Ex): Injury, Fortitude DC 18, initial and secondary damage 1d4 Dex. The save DC is Constitution-based.
