As the adventurers brought down the skeleton, it suddenly exploded in a shower of bone.
You cause a small or larger corporeal creature to explode when it dies. This explosion deals 1d10 damage/caster level in a 20 foot radius spread, with a Reflex save to halve the damage. Half of the damage is negative energy damage and the other half is piercing. Unlike most spells, damage reduction applies to the piercing component of the damage.
When cast on an undead creature, this spell can be made permanent with permanency. This requires an obsidian worth at least 25gp as a material component per creature, rather than any XP cost.
