"The Creator has an inordinate fondness for devastation."

A devastation beetle gains iterative attacks to its primary bite natural weapon from having a high base attack bonus.

Its natural attacks are considered magical, epic and adamantine for the purposes of overcoming damage reduction and hardness as well as a siege engine for interacting with attacks and objects.

Traits: Much like vermin, a devastation beetle is immune to mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, phantasms, patterns, and morale effects).

Hard Ability Damage Reduction: A devastation beetle possesses Hard Ability Damage Reduction 4 (all) for the adult and 2 (all) for the larva.

Hurricane Wind Force (Ex): A devastation beetle adult can buzz its wings, generating a swirl of hurricane-force winds out to 200 feet from it, and a windstorm for another 800 feet beyond that. It can activate or deactivate this ability at will but is otherwise constant while it is flying.

Pheromone Cloud (Ex): A devastation beetle adult, when searching for a mate, exudes a constant vapor that radiates outward in every direction for 1 mile. This vapor makes tracking by scent useless, as the area is permeated by the overpowering chemical signal. The scent lingers for 1d4+1 days in any area unless washed thoroughly.

Super Colossal: A devastation beetle is larger than normal for its size category with a 50 foot space and a 40 foot reach. It otherwise has the size bonuses and penalties of a colossal creature.

Trample (Ex): A devastation beetle (larva or adult) can trample Gargantuan and smaller creatures (10d10+21 points of damage for the adult and 8d10+18 for the larva) and are knocked prone. Opponents who do not make attacks of opportunity against the devastation beetle can attempt a Reflex save (DC 38 for the adult and DC 30 for the larva) to halve the damage and negate falling prone. A creature in its space is automatically subject to its trample damage in any round in which the beetle attacks while on the ground.

Universal Resistance: This special damage resistance reduces hit point damage from all types and sources (such as energy, physical and untyped damages) before applying other effects, like damage reduction or energy resistance. A devastation beetle adult resists 10 damage from each attack or damage source, while the larva resists 5 damage.

Any multiplication of damage against it has its Universal Resistance multiplied by the same amount.
