The ''disappointing runes'' plip and vanish with a fizzle when read, dealing 1 [[Daunt (3.5e Creature Ability)|daunt level]] to adjacent creatures, [[SRD:Saving Throw|Will]] negates.

You can remove the ''disappointing runes'' when desired. Another creature can remove them with a successful ''[[SRD:Dispel Magic|dispel magic]]'' or ''[[SRD:Erase|erase]]'' spell, but attempting to dispel or erase the ''disappointing runes'' and failing to do so triggers the effect.
