When you cast this spell, several iron shields spring up around you and orbit you to protect you from danger.  You gain [[SRD:Cover|cover]] (+4 AC, +2 [[Reflex]] saves), you benefit from evasion, and you are immune to precision damage.  You cannot hide behind the shields made by this spell.

However the shields block you as much as they save you.  Opponents have half your cover bonuses to you (+2 AC, +1 Reflex saves) against your attacks.

If you take a move action while this spell is active you can bunker down for 1 round.  The bonuses are doubled (+8 AC, +4 Reflex) and you have improved evasion instead.  However opponents you're facing also have their cover improved (+4 AC, +2 Reflex).

If you take total defense while this spell is active, you gain total cover instead.

The shields surrounding you can be sundered.  They have hardness 10 and 5 hp per caster level.  If the shields are sundered, the spell ends.
