You swing your focus, a vorpal weapon, in a great arc and split everything you see before you in two.  Everything in a massive square adjacent to the caster is affected by your cutting motion, which has different effects if you were more vertical or more horizontal in your attack.  Objects within the area must succeed on a [[Fortitude]] save or split in half with the effects as below, or take 1d6 damage per 2 caster levels on a successful save.

Vertical slashes can split the sky, oceans, and earth.  Weather clears up immediately, and you may make a dispel check against supernatural weather effects such as ''[[SRD:Control Weather|control weather]]'' (no cap).  Bodies of water have their water briefly split in two, up to a distance of 20 ft away on each side.  However the water will come crashing back in 1 round after.  Earth splits, forming effects as per ''[[SRD:Earthquake|earthquake's]]'' within the intersecting line, with fissures grinding shut after 1 round.

Horizontal slashes cover a wider area along the ground allowing you to cut more objects.  By being at a slight angle you can fell trees and other structures by having gravity pull apart the severed structure.

Creatures within 30 ft of the caster in the area of effect are also split in half if they fail a [[Fortitude]] save.  Those outside of 30 ft automatically succeed on their save instead.

You can choose to effect a smaller area than your maximum.
