Illithids or Mind flayers are an enemy race. They resemble tall humans, except they have an octopus for a face. They are infamous for their grotesque eating habits, which involve grabbing prey with their tentacles, then tearing the prey's brains out to eat. Nowadays however, they have created a sapient race called the Oortlings to feed off. Cruel and sadistic, they often trade slaves.
