Doppelkreuzung

A race of human-doppelganger hybrids who suffer from a rare mutation making their ability to disguise very short-lived.

A rare mutation that occur when a doppelganger and a human mate, the doppelkreuzung is a cousin of the changeling. Unlike a changeling, the doppelkreuzung are lacking in their ability of changing shape, however they receive the thought readings ability of their doppelganger parent. A doppelkreuzung is capable of altering their appearance , but only for a short time before reverting.

A doppelkreuzung's natural form is somewhat similar to a changeling, however they possess a more humanoid shape in general. In fact a doppelkreuzung is in appearance and shape almost a clone of their human parent. However they possess obviously inhuman features, such as grey skin and extremely pale irises. They also tend to be taller than their human parent.

Racial Traits

• +2 Dexterity, -2 Constitution, +2 Intelligence, +2 Charisma: Doppelkreuzung can excel in many things, but usually suffer from a racial frailness.
• Humanoid (Human, Shapechanger): The Doppelkreuzung is the product of human and doppelganger breeding and thus possess ability that befit both of them. 
• Medium: As a Medium creature, a doppelkreuzung has no special bonuses or penalties due to its size.
• Doppelkreuzung base land speed is 30 feet.  
• Darkvision: A doppelkreuzung can see in the dark up to 60 feet. Darkvision is black and white only, but it is otherwise like normal sight, and a doppelkreuzung can function just fine with no light at all. 
• A Doppelkreuzung gain a +2 racial bonus on Bluff, Disguise and Sense Motive. 
• A Doppelkreuzung receive an extra bonus feat they qualify for at 1st level. 
• Physical Alteration (Su): A Doppelkreuzung can make rapid alteration but short lived alteration to their appearance. As an immediate or swift action a Doppelkreuzung may replicate the effect of disguise self except that it only last for 1 rounds. The Doppelkreuzung may maintain the disguise by spending a swift action every round, but must make a DC 5 Concentration or Control Shape check or become unable to maintain their form and revert to their natural form, each round the DC increase by 1. 
• Thought Reader (Su): Doppelkreuzung are constantly under the effect of read thoughts, they may suppress or resume this ability as a free action. Their caster level is equal to their character level and the DC is Charisma-based.

• Favored Class: Any
• Level Adjustment: +1
• Effective Character Level: 2
