|benefit=You may select certain [[SRD:Outsider Type|outsiders]] to accompany you as an [[SRD:Druid's Animal Companion|animal companion]], if you so wish. If you do choose to have a [[SRD:Outsider Type|outsider]] as an animal companion, of course, the [[SRD:Outsider Type|outsider's]] base attack bonus is equal to it’s HD. Additionally, the [[SRD:Outsider Type|outsider]] companion has good [[SRD:Saving Throw#Will|Will save]], in addition to good [[SRD:Saving Throw#Fortitude|Fortitude]] and [[SRD:Saving Throw#Reflex|Reflex]] saves. Not only this, but the [[SRD:Outsider Type|outsider]] companion also gains (8 + [[SRD:Intelligence|Int]] modifer) skill points for each bonus HD it receives, instead of the (2 + [[SRD:Intelligence|Int]] modifer) skill points that is standard for an [[SRD:Animal Type|animal]] companion. All of this replaces what is normal for an animal companion. Once you are of sufficiently high level, you can select your [[SRD:Outsider Type|outsider]] companion from one of the following lists, applying the indicated adjustment to your druid level (in parentheses) for purposes of determining the [[SRD:Outsider Type|outsider's]] characteristics and special abilities:
