Duelist [Fighter] Prerequisites: Base Attack Bonus +1Benefit: Once per round as a free action on your turn, designate a single opponent. You gain various bonuses against that opponent.

  • You gain a +1 Dodge bonus to your Armor Class against that opponent, as long as you are not currently denied your Dexterity bonus against the opponent. This bonus increases to +2 if you are wielding a one-handed weapon or light weapon in one hand and nothing in your off-hand(s).
  • If you have a shield equipped, or are wielding two weapons and have the Two-Weapon Defense feat, your shield bonus against that opponent increases by +1.
  • You gain a +1 competence bonus to your saving throws against effects with a duration of instantaneous that are caused by that opponent.
  • You gain a +2 competence bonus to opposed skill checks and ability checks with that opponent.

Special: A fighter can select Duelist as one of his fighter bonus feats.

Duelist can be used in place of the Dodge feat for prerequisites of feats, prestige classes, etc.
