Effects can be created for any other Eldritch Essence invocation not already found on this list; The shield protects against what the blast would normally inflict. By default, Essences that change damage type give the Shield resistance to that damage type equal to 1 + 1 per EB dice; And Essences that add a "Save vs. X" effect grant immunity to said effect, causing the effect to deal damage to the Shield equal to the DC.
