The Old God is coming! Nowhere you can run, nowhere you can hide! Nothing can stop us now!

Once humans, the false priest turned into dark creatures by willingly ingesting the still living flesh of one of the Old God's children. The power of the Old God completely overwrote any talents they had in life, instead gaining perverted skills and dark magic. False priest pass as humans, they are used to infiltrate the clergy of major churches well in advance and facilitate the coming of the Old God. As the Old God start manifesting they become sunken and pale, their eyes become dead and over the course of weeks and months, the become slowly become more and more inhuman. By the time most realize this, it is too late.

Cleric Casting: False Priest cast as 9th level cleric, they have access to one domain their former deity did, the Solar domain and either the atheism, chaos, dream, evil or heavens domain. False priest have access to all dark insight spells they can cast, thanks to their relation with the Old God.

Eldritch Theurgist (Ex): A false priest is not quite immune to mindbreak, having been a human once. A false priest add it dark insight to the amount of madness it need before suffering a mindbreak instead of reducing it. Even they will perish to the insanity of the Old God's return.

Idolater's Chime: Each false priest possess a +2 Focus Spelltouch war chime that it used as it unholy symbol to cast it cleric spells. Since the Old God has no iconology identifying such symbol is extremely difficult and require a DC 30 knowledge (religion) check. The check drop significantly, to a mere 15 if the the onlooker is on the warped plane, however this is less than necessary (see Warped Physique)

An Idolater's chime grant a +2 bonus on caster level and DC of any [evil] or [chaotic] spells, dark insight spells or spells from the atheism, chaos, dream, evil, heavens or Solar domains cast through it, however if a non-worshipers of the Old God attempt to use it take 5 points of madness and the spell has a 20% chance of failing.

As a full-round action the false priest can ring it chime, dealing 3 points of madness to all creature that can hear it sound and placing the area centered on it under the effect of a sympathy (aberration only) spell for 1 minute.

Spell-like Abilities (Sp): A false priest has spell-like abilities granted to it by it disciple of the dark feat.

The End is Nigh (Ex): As the Old God manifest the False Priest start manifesting sign of his debauchery, in the moderate sign of the Old God it gain willing deformity as a bonus feat, at the strong and overwhelming sign it gain a willing deformity feat it meet the prerequisite as a bonus feat. The deformities between priest tend to be quite different.

Warped Physique (Ex): If fought on the warped plane, the false priest is nothing like it mundane counterpart. Instead the false priest is a horrible mass of flesh and tentacles and it only speak in a terrible eldritch tongue. Refer the the Priest of the Old God profile above.

If the false priest is slain in the mundane world it warped world counterpart still live, although trapped in the warped plane. If the warped plane version is slain both version are slain.

The Priest of the Old God possess the following abilities in addition to most of it false priest ability:

  • Abomination (Ex): A Priest of the Old God is immune to compulsion, pain-effect, fear-effect and stunning. It also possess 50% fortification.
  • All-Around Vision (Ex): A Priest of the Old God's multitude of eyes allow it to see all around itself, it gain a +12 bonus on spot checks and cannot be flanked.
  • Gaze of Madness (Su): A Priest of the Old God possess a constant gaze attack, any creature affected by it take 1 point of madness. The Priest of the Old God is immune to it own or other Priest of the Old's gaze of madness.
