A class which allow you to slowly turn into a fey. Grant partial spellcasting as well as DR and unique abilities.

Spontaneous Arcane Spellcasting Partial


A unique mix between the Sorcerer and the Paladin, the Feyblooded is a arcane casting combat class. While they do not possess full base attack bonus like fighters, paladin and rangers they make up for it with their strong spells and powerful abilities. A feyblooded possess a large DR which allow her to survive as well as multiple tricks which set them apart from each others.

Making a Feyblooded

Abilities: A Feyblooded's class feature are based on her Charisma, thus a high charisma is generally very helpful. A high Dexterity and Constitution also allow her to last much longer in combat by increasing her AC and hit points.

Races: Being the descendant of fey, feyblooded tend to come from races with known interbreeding with the fair folks. That mean many humans, elves and half-elves, altough other races are possible. That also mean that races such as warforged and elementals cannot be feyblooded.

Alignment: Any.

Starting Gold: As Sorcerer.

Starting Age: Simple.

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the Feyblooded.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Feyblooded is proficient with all simple and martial weapons as well as the Fey Longbow, they are not proficient with any armor or shield.

Spells: A Feyblooded cast spell spontaneously much like a Sorcerer, using her Charisma modifier to determine the DCs of her spells, the amount of bonus spells she receive per day and the highest level spell she can cast. Unlike a Sorcerer, a Feyblooded do not have spell known. Instead once per day, after at least 8 hours of uninterrupted rest she may ready an amount of spell (see Spell Readied table below) which she can cast spontaneously from. A feyblooded choose their spells from the following list:

1st—animal messenger, augury, color spray, cure wounds, detect thoughts, disguise self, entangle, identify, faerie fire, fanservice, feather fall, hide from animals, hypnotism, Ishara's enticing directive, love ward, minor image, naked invisibility, Nealen's unbuckling, obscuring mist, pass without trace, paranoia haunt, possessed hand, punish violence, reduce person, sleep.

2nd—alter physiognomy, alter self, bestow curse, Cain's curse of covetousness, charm monster, confusion, covert transposition, cryospray, deep slumber, dimension door, dispel magic, dominate animal, Ekbom's imaginary insects, etherealness, swift PHB2 fog cloud, glitterdust, hold person, hypnotic light, inflict psychosis, invisibility, Kiden's polymorph peons, major image, mirror image, nauseating breathSpC, speak with plants, spectral hand, still invisibility, sudden weakness, suggestion, temporary teleport, totemic power, tree shape, vertigo fieldPHB2, watershape, web.

A Feyblooded's spellcasting cannot benefits from the Ascended Progression feat and cannot be made into scrolls or consumable items as is. She may still craft magic consumables with the spells on her spell list, but they are treated as of the same level as they are found on either the Cleric, Druid or Wizard spell list.

Bloodline: A Feyblooded is descendant of powerful feys, and much like dragonblooded class tap into this power. She count as her initial type or as the Fey Type for the purpose of spell which rely on type whenever beneficial. She may also qualify for Feats and Prestige classes which require the Fey Type type. Finally the feyblooded now age as an elf, unless her previous lifespan was longer.

Fey Power: At 1st level, 2nd level and each even level thereafter a Feyblooded gain a single power from the list below. She may select any power, although certain power have prerequisites she must be able to meet to be selected. Unless specified, a power cannot be taken twice.

  • Alter Size (Su): The feyblooded is able to replicate the effect of either enlarge person or reduce person on herself at-will with unlimited duration. Instead of the normal bonuses and penalties of the spell her ability change as per Improving Creature. This ability affect her even though she isn't humanoid and may only take her up to large or down to small, no bigger or smaller. You must be 6th level or higher to select this Fey Power.
  • Animal Tongue (Su): The feyblooded is under a constant speak with animals effect, she also gain Wild Empathy as a Druid of her class level.
  • Awesome Beauty (Su): The feyblooded enhance her look with fey glamour, causing all humanoid creature within 30 feet who look directly at her to make a Will save. If the saving throw is a failure, the creature At Bay from the feyblooded for 1 minute or until the creature successfully deal damage to the feyblooded. This count as a gaze attack and is not a [fear] effect, instead it is a [charm] effect. The feyblooded may resume or suppress this ability as a free action.
  • Butterfly Wings (Ex): The feyblooded grow a pair of majestic butterfly wings (or other insect wings), which allow her glide at her base land speed. At 6th level she gain the ability to fly at her base land speed with average maneuverability. At 12th level she may fly at twice her base land speed.
  • Cloud of Fairies (Su): You gain greater gaseous form as a supernatural ability at-will, except while doing you instead turn into a swarm of harmless fairy made of light. You must be 10th level or higher to select this Fey Power.
  • Dissipation: Upon selecting this power, the feyblooded is capable of escaping death through a gambit. If the Feyblooded is killed, instead of dying she turn into number of small fairies that scatter into the wind. Upon death she create a number of fairies equal to twice her character levels and each fairy randomly teleport in a safe area within 1d10x5 miles. The fairies are harmless, possess 5 hit points, an AC equal to 14 + the Feyblooded's character level and a fly speed of 40 feet with good maneuverability. The fairies possess all the mental ability of the feyblooded's -4.
If at least half of the fairies + 1 are reunited together the Feyblooded is restored (as per true resurrection) with a number of negative level equal to the number of missing fairies. These levels cannot be cured but are restored at the rate of 1 per day, or if the Feyblooded is reunited with one of her fairy. Upon being restored, all of her missing fairies immediately gain a find the path effect toward their restored body and the Feyblooded gain a status effect on all her fairies. Once the Feyblooded is restored to full level, all missing fairies beyond that point dissipate.
You must be 12th level or higher to select this Fey Power.
  • Dryad's Bark: Upon taking this power, the feyblooded receive a Natural Armor bonus of +1. Her damage reduction class feature also now require a cold iron slashing weapon. You must be 4th level or higher to select this Fey Power.
  • Everlasting Youth (Ex): Upon selecting this power, the feyblooded no longer takes bonus or penalties for aging and cannot be magically aged. This does not reverse any previous aging however. The feyblooded still dies of old age when her time is up.
  • Fairy Taunt (Ex): You gain the Forked Tongue feat, using your class level +3 or bluff ranks to determine the benefits, whichever is higher.
  • Fey Trickery (Ex): The feyblooded gain Improved Feint as a bonus feat even if she does not meet the prerequisites. Additionally if she cast a spell on a target who is denied it Dexterity modifier to AC the DC of the spell increase by 1.
  • Hoary Steed (Su): Upon selecting this power, the Feyblooded gain the terrifying ability to summon a lesser hoary steed. The creature behave as a phantom steed except that it radiate a obscuring mist effect within it square. She may only have one of such steed in existence, summoning another dismiss the previous. You must be 6th level or higher to select this Fey Power.
  • Mild Manners (Su): You become able to create a powerful glamour as a free action, which make creatures nearby impossible to offend. No matter what you say, all creatures within 120 feet will not be able to take offense from what you say. They will laugh at unappropriated jokes during a funeral, their attitude won't change from a botched diplomacy checks and so on. This effect last for 1 minute per class level per day, uses need not be consecutive but it is used in 1 minute increment. Once outside the effect the creature will come to their senses, often after the feyblooded left.
  • Naiad's Gills (Ex): You gain a swim speed equal to your land speed, which improve whenever an effect improved your swim speed. You gain the ability to breath under water and become immune to pressure damage.
  • Nymph's Glare (Su): The feyblooded may attempt to blind or stun a target with a glance, as a standard action she may make a gaze attack against a creature within 30 feet. The creature must succeed a Fortitude save or become blinded for 1d4 rounds or stunned for 1 round. A successful save make the target immune to further attempts for 24 hours. You must be 4th level or higher to select this Fey Power.
  • Levitation (Su): The feyblooded is under a constant feather fall effect. At 6th level she gain the ability to fly at her half base land speed with perfect maneuverability. At 12th level she may fly at her base land speed.
  • Persistent Hex (Ex): If an enchantment spell on a creatures that was placed by the feyblooded end early, such as by being dispelled or removed it return after 1 round. This can happen only once per effect and do not happen if the feyblooded herself is the one who removed the effect. You must be 6th level or higher to select this Fey Power.
  • Seelie Bonds: The feyblooded become a member of the Seelie Court, gaining Skill Focus as a bonus feat and a +1 bonus on the DC of any [Charm] spell she cast. She gain a +4 bonus on Charisma-based skill checks when interacting with good-aligned fey creature. The feyblooded must be non-evil aligned to select this Fey Power. This power cannot be selected alongside Unseelie Bonds.
  • Toxophilite (Ex): The feyblooded gain Sharpshooter as a bonus feat, even if she do not meet the prerequisites.
  • Unearthly Grace (Su): The feyblooded add her Charisma modifier on all saving throws. This bonus do not stack with any similar abilities, such as a Paladin's divine grace. You must be 8th level or higher to select this Fey Power.
  • Unseelie Bonds: The feyblooded become a member of the Unseelie Court, gaining +1d6 points of Sneak Attack and a +1 bonus on the DC of any curse spells she cast. She gain a +4 bonus on Charisma-based skill checks when interacting with evil fey creature. The feyblooded must be non-good to select this Fey Power. This power cannot be selected alongside Seelie Bonds.
  • Wild Companion (Ex):Upon selecting this power, an animal will join the feyblooded's quest. She gain an Animal Companion as a druid of her class level.

Minor Magic (Sp): A Feyblooded is capable of casting dancing lights and prestidigitation as spell-like abilities at-will.

AC Bonus: A 2nd level Feyblooded gain a deflection bonus to AC equal to her Charisma modifier while she wear no armor, do not use a shield and is carrying a light load.

Damage Reduction (Su): A 3rd level Feyblooded receive supernatural damage reduction 2/Cold Iron, it increase by 1 at each odd level thereafter.

Fey Resilience (Ex): A 3rd level Feyblooded gain a +2 on saving throws bonus against [Enchantment] effects.

At 6th level she convert 2 damage per class level damage she received which did not breach her Damage Reduction class feature into non-lethal damage. This ability only function if you are not immune to non-lethal damage.

At 12th level she gain Spell Dampening 2 against all Arcane Spell, this can be bypassed by having a sliver of cold iron worth 1 gp as an optional material component to the spell. If the spell does not bypass this spell dampening and it does damage, it is affected by the 6th level ability as if it failed to breach damage reduction.

At 18th level the feyblooded is now completely immune to mundane non-cold iron weapons, counting as if she possessed unlimited DR against such attacks. If a creature's CR is at least 2 points higher than her class level they ignore this ability.

Improved Vision: A 4th level Feyblooded's vision greatly improve, granting her low-light vision. If she already possessed low-light vision it become superior low-light vision. Additionally her long range vision improve, halving the penalty based on distance while using the Spot skill.

Fey Curse: You gain Fey Curse as a bonus feat even if you do not meet the prerequisites. If you already possessed it, you gain another feat you meet the prerequisite for as a bonus feat.

Immortality (Ex): After attaining 7th level, a feyblooded no longer dies from old age. She still age and will eventually become venerable, but she has no maximum age.

Apotheosis: A 10th level feyblooded's type change to Fey with her previous type as an Augmented Subtype. At this point her damage reduction class features must be bypassed by a magic cold iron weapon.

Tricky Failure (Ex): If a spell of an 11th level feyblooded is completely negated, it is not spent. However this only happen if the spell truly did not manage to do anything, such as being negated by mettle, spell resistance or not targeting the right type of creature.

Regeneration (Su): At 15th level, the feyblooded gain a supernatural Regeneration of 5. This regeneration is bypassed by cold iron and by force damage.

True Sight (Su): A 19th level feyblooded is under a constant true seeing effect, she may suppress or resume this ability as a free action.

Mantle of the Great Fairy: A 20th level feyblooded ascend to the title of Great Fairy, she gain multiple benefits from the transition. Firstly her damage reduction class feature now require an epic weapon or artifact to bypass. Additionally her Regeneration increase to 10. Finally she is capable of casting all of 1st and 2nd level spells without expending any spell slot, essentially gaining them at will.
