Features

Magic Resistance. The feystag has advantage on saving throws against spells and magic effects.

Magic Sense. The feystag automatically detects magic within 60 ft. of it. If the magic is a magic item, it knows how to activate the magic item.

Magic Weapon Repelling. Attacks using a magic weapon have disadvantage to hit the feystag, as the feystag has an aura that repels magic weapons.

Actions

Multiattack. The feystag makes two claw attacks and may remotely activate a magic item.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +1 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2 (1d6-1) slashing damage.

Magic Item Activation. The feystag causes a magic item of its choice within 60 ft. of it to activate. It must be a magic item that requires a command word or other action to activate it. (i.e. it could not activate a +1 sword as its magic is always on, but could cause a magic want or necklace of fireballs to activate. The feystag has no means to aim the magic item it activates (unless it is holding it), and is up to the GM to determine the target (if any). If the magic item has charges, this activation expends a charge. The feystag may activate a magic item even if it normally requires attunement.

Feystags are panther-sized cat-like creatures with antlers. Their coats are grayish-brown with stripes. Their faces resemble domestic cats. Their forelegs are clawed, but can manipulate objects (although clumsily). They are quadrupedal, but can stand on their hind legs for short periods of time.

They love to collect magic items and use them in pranks. Feystags love to cause chaos, but rarely try to seriously harm the victims of their pranks. They will often try to barter for magic items that they come across.

They are solitary creatures who defend their lair with primitive traps (snares and pits). If they have young, they will defend them fiercely.

In the Feywild, feystags are often preyed upon for their meat. Feystags, themselves, are omnivores, with plants making up the majority of their diet.
