1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.

The flamberge is a greatsword with a long wavy blade. This unique blade is ideal at drawing blood from flesh with the sharpness of a scimitar, creating disruptive vibrations in clashes, and a slightly lighter blade. It can be used as a normal greatsword as a martial weapon (with the normal 19-20/x2 critical) but those with the appropriate Exotic Weapon Proficiency can unlock its true abilities. Those proficient can use the following abilities.

Bloodletting: As part of a melee attack with the flamberge the wielder of the flamberge may forsake half of the weapon damage to deal terribly bleeding wound, inflicting 3 points of bleedout. On a confirmed critical hit the struck creature immediately bleedout (as if they have taken a number of bleedout equal to it constitution mod.)

Defensive Stance: You can adopt a defensive stance with the weapon as a swift action, taking a -2 attack penalty and gaining a +2 shield bonus plus the weapon's enhancement bonus. While in defensive stance attacks which miss due to the defensive stance bonus hit the weapon and are subject to vibrations, resulting on a -4 attack penalty to the attacker for 1 round.

Razor Thrust: As an standard action, as part of a martial maneuver, or as part of a charge, the sword can be thrust forward, dealing piercing damage and gaining +5 reach. You do not threaten out to this extended reach. This attack deals 1d6 points of bleedout damage which stacks with bloodletting if employed.

Vibrating Blade: When parrying with such a sword, unpleasant vibrations may be transmitted into the attacker's blade. These vibrations caused the blades to slow contact with each other because as additional friction was encountered with each wave. Whenever you attack another weapon with your flamberge the damage ignores half the hardness and is not reduced before hardness, and the opponent takes a -4 attack penalty for 1 round. Those attempting to sunder the flamberge receive half their damage they deal recoiled back on their own weapon, as well as the attack penalty.

The flamberge gives a +2 bonus on attack and damage rolls for sunder attempts.
