|benefit=With this soulmeld, totemists take on the qualities of [[Frostran (3.5e Monster)|Frostran]], mighty guardian of the frozen peaks. It's popular among totemists who need to withstand the cold, scale cliffs, withstand attacks, and call forth driving snow to attack and immobilize enemies. The ''Frostran shell'' is very flexible defensively, and carries a few offensive tricks as well.

You gain damage reduction 5/adamantine and cold resistance 5 for having this soulmeld shaped.

'''Essentia:''' You gain [[Energy Anti-Resistance (3.5e Creature Ability)|cold anti-resistance]] equal to twice the amount of essentia you have invested in this soulmeld. (For example, if you have 2 points of essentia invested into your ''Frostran shell'', you have cold anti-resistance 4.)
|feet=''Your feet gain claws on their soles, enabling you to easily cling to walls.''

You gain a climb speed equal to 5 feet per point of essentia invested into this soulmeld. You have a +8 racial bonus to [[SRD:Climb Skill|Climb]] checks. You may take 10 on any Climb check, even if rushed or threatened, and automatically succeed on any Climb checks pertaining to mundane tasks. In addition to all this, your movement speed cannot be reduced in any fashion.

Your cold anti-resistance improves to 4 per invested essentia point. This overrides the soulmeld's standard essentia investment benefit.
|crown=''The gray mask over your face becomes solid in form. It is a mask of stone. The mask fortifies your body even further, now enabling you to withstand martial assaults.''

You gain [[Martial Defense (3.5e Creature Ability)|martial defense]] 5 + 4 per point of essentia invested in the ''Frostran shell''.
|heart=''The soulmeld's essence of cold reaches deep into your body, fortifying you against cold-based assaults.''

Your cold resistance increases by 4 points per invested essentia point.

Your damage reduction increases by 4 points per invested essentia point. In addition, you gain a +6 enhancement bonus to your Constitution score (this does not scale with invested essentia).
|totem=''Your body becomes brilliant blue, with small gray flecks suggesting stone that has been frozen and fractured from within, then reshaped into an impenetrable shell. Your face is covered with a grey mask, hard and imposing as stone, strong as a mountain.''

You gain a +4 enhancement bonus to your Strength and Constitution scores (these do not scale with invested essentia). You gain an aura of intense cold, similar to that granted by the [[Elemental Aura (3.5e Feat)|Elemental Aura feat]], which does 1d6 cold damage per point of invested essentia to all within 10 feet of you.

You may also use Frostran's signature '''[[Frostran (3.5e Monster)#Snow Spiral|Snow Spiral]]''' attack: At will, you may summon a 60-foot-radius emanation of driving snow anywhere within Medium range (100 feet + 10 feet/meldshaper level). All creatures caught in the emanation take 2d10 cold damage per point of invested essentia and are immobilized for 1 round; a successful Reflex save (DC calculated as normal for soulmelds) halves the damage and negates the immobilization. Any creature that fails its Reflex save is struck by the attack again on the following round, and the process continues until a Reflex save is successful, the victim is dead, or 5 rounds have passed since you began the attack. You may not use Snow Spiral again while even one creature is still suffering from its effects.
