Galea's Energy Corona

A primal scream roared forth as ripples of magical energy arced out of her body, coalescing into a violent field of raw power around her.

Named for the naiad who developed the spell, Galea's energy corona envelopes the caster in an aura of magical energy. The energy corona causes the subject to emit light as a torch (20 feet of bright illumination). The corona both protects and lashes out. Adjacent attackers, attackers who share the subject's space or attackers attacking with natural weapons are subject to 1d6 + 1 point per caster level (maximum +10) of untyped physical magical damage (successful Spell Resistance negates the damage and DR/— applies) per attack made against the warded subject(s). The corona's subject gains DR/— and Universal Energy Resistance equal to half her caster level (minimum of 1).

If cast as at least a 5th level spell, the corona lashes even further, allowing it to damage attackers or protect willing allies within close range (25 ft. +5 ft/2 caster levels).
