Golden Chains of Kronos
Conjuration (Creation) / Transmutation [Force]
Level: Sorcerer/Wizard 8, Cleric 8
Components: V, S
Casting time: 1 full-round action
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target: One creature or object of Colossal size or smaller
Duration: 1 round/level (D)
Saving Throw: Reflex negates
Spell Resistance: Yes

When casting this spell, bright golden chains of disruptive energy emerge from the fabric of reality surrounding the creature or object you designate, locking them in time and space. Once the creature or object is bound by the chains, its 'time' ceases to flow, halting its aging and leaving it immobilized in place. All extrinsic forces acting upon the bound creature or object are stopped, including impulse, gravitation and any form of attack. An airborn creature or object bound by the chains will not fall, an object or creature in water will not sink, and anything bound by the golden chains effectively possesses infinite inertia. It is impervious to any form of damage, immune to any and all effects and status conditions, and immobile and unmovable by any mortal force as long as it is bound by the chains, however it is also completely unaware of the passage of time, unable to act, and effectively 'removed from game' for the duration.

This spell is not dismissible if cast on yourself.

The chains can be dispelled, but at +10 to the dispel DC. The chains have 20 hit points per caster level, an effective Armor Class of 20 + your caster level, DR/- equal to your caster level and 90% hindrance to all five types of energy. If a creature or object resists the temporal stasis effect, such as due to spell resistance, the chains immediately shatter.

Freedom counters and removes the chains, as does a successful wish.
