The creature in the area suffers 1d6 per caster level (up to 10d6) of damage and is [[Immobilized (3.5e Condition)|immobilized]] for as long as the spell continues, with a Fortitude save to halve the damage and to avoid the condition. Each round the creature suffers another 1d6 of [Cold] damage and may try the save again as a standard action to avoid the immobilized condition. A creature entering the spell's area must make the save. Undead are also vulnerable to this spell, despite needing a Fortitude save.

This spell may be modified by the [[Ghostflame Spell (3.5e Feat)|Ghostflame Spell]] feat despite not being a [Fire] spell.
