  1. If the character has some help, cut this time in half. A single character doing nothing else can help one or two adjacent characters. Two characters can't help each other don armor at the same time.
  2. The wearer must have help to don this armor. Without help, it can be donned only hastily.

Havel's Armor is an exotic armor, requiring both proficiency and heavy armor and Exotic Armor Proficiency to wear without penalty.

Bishop Havel, also known as Havel the Rock, was known for his great strength and his vehement hatred of sorcery. This armor protected him from his enemies throughout his many campaigns. Replicas of this armor were made by Havel's supporters and underlings, and several of these unique suits of armor have stood the test of time, carrying the name of its original wearer into the new age. Havel's armor consists of a leather underlay on which interlocking plates of worked stone have been riveted into the general construction of a stone full plate. Certain areas of the armor, like the gauntlets, are further reinforced by steel chains.

To wear this armor without penalty, its weight must be equivalent to a light load for you. Standardly, for a Medium creature this requires a minimum Strength score of 21 (or 13 with the help of Havel's ring). Not meeting this prerequisite makes you count as nonproficient with the armor. If the armor alone is enough to account for a heavy load, you can only stagger around in it. Havel's armor is always masterwork; price and benefits are subsumed in the above statistics.

Havel's armor provides the following benefits when worn, on top of its general protective capabilities:

Havel's armor may be magically enhanced as though it was a mundane armor. The benefits granted by the armor are equivalent to a +2 armor quality; as such, enhancing it further carries the commensurate cost. Adding a +1 enhancement costs the same as enhancing a +2 armor to +3, i.e. 5,000 gp. Enhancement bonus and qualities totalling no more than +8 can be added to the armor.

Havel's armor cannot be repaired with mundane tools, as it is made of stone. Repairing a damaged Havel's armor requires the aid of magic that mends equipment or creates or transforms stone, such as make whole, stone shape or transmute mud to rock. Repairing a Havel's armor without the aid of these things requires the broken stone pieces to be hewn anew, which requires a DC 35 Craft (stoneworking) check and 50 gp worth of material per point of damage needing to be restored.

Craft (stoneworking and leatherworking) DC 35. Market Price 9,000 gp.
